A girl turns back over her shoulder, half-length in frame, one hand lifting a single enormous lotus leaf above her head like a parasol. Its green canopy spreads wide across the upper frame, a few beads of water still hanging from the rim. Silver-white hair streams sideways in the wind, tied once at the crown with a silver floral comb, loose strands crossing her face. Her eyes are pale green, the mouth barely closed around a faint smile. She wears a layered hanfu in washed white and celadon, the outer robe sheer with floral prints, wide sleeves drifting outward, a knotted tassel hanging at her waist, long skirt falling in soft pleats. Behind her a pale cloudy sky meets a wide water surface crowded with lily pads and pink water lilies, distant hills fading into haze.
