Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-06-21
This policy explains what Latent, operated by Nya Foundation, collects, why, and how it is used. We aim to collect only the minimum needed to run the gallery, and we do not sell your personal data.
What we collect
- Account data (designers): we use single sign-on (GitHub/Google), so we store only your email address, display name, and avatar URL from the provider — never a password.
- Uploaded content: your images and the generation metadata embedded in them (prompt, model, parameters, tags). This is public for public uploads.
- Anonymous identifier: a randomly generated cookie (anon_id) used to deduplicate anonymous likes and to attribute/rate-limit comments and reports. It contains no personal information.
- Reports: the reason, details, and any email you choose to provide.
- Operational logs: standard server logs (e.g. IP address, request metadata) used for security, abuse prevention, and debugging.
How we use it
- To operate the gallery: store, display, and let people interact with artwork.
- To authenticate designers and protect accounts.
- To prevent abuse, enforce our Content Policy, and comply with law.
Cookies
We use a session cookie for designer login and the anonymous anon_id cookie for likes/comments. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Third parties
- Object storage: image files are stored on an S3-compatible service configured by the operator.
- Danbooru: tag names may be sent to the public Danbooru API to look up tag categories. No personal data is sent.
Data security
We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit (HTTPS) and restrict access to operational systems. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit what we collect in the first place.
Retention & your choices
Public content remains until you or a moderator removes it. When content is removed, its stored image data is deleted (backups, if any, are purged on a rolling basis). You may access, correct, or delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting k3scat@gmail.com; we honor applicable data rights regardless of where you live.
Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. See our Content Policy regarding CSAM.
